the oasis
The Oasis is a restaurant on the far west side of Austin with so-so chews but oh!-oh! views. The place clings to a cliffside high above Lake Travis and is a favorite with locals wanting to see the sunset while sipping a margarita. If you want to see the sun go down, get there early to stake a seat “lakeside”. And watch out for electrical storms: the last one burned the Oasis down!
