Dos Batos, home to one of the best tacos in town, the Pollo Pirata, has apparently closed. I stopped in on Thursday evening to find the store dark, locked up, and with a legal notice pasted on the windows claiming the taco joint was more than three months behind on rent. I returned to my car, shocked. I had a short cry and drove home. There’s a smidgen of hope, but only a smidgen. Long live Dos Batos.
UPDATE: I received a clandestine text that the Batos will, miracle of miracles, be reopening on the 20th!
