I was in Lubbock on business and was able to stop in at Jimenez and Friends to try the Three Amigos Plate featuring the asado de puerco, carne guisada, and picadillo. The carne guisada was mwah!! and the leader of the trio. I also tried their pink cake, which seems to be the real reason José Ralat of Texas Monthly included them on the list. Several locals at the meeting asked me where I was going, and they all replied “That is the place to go!”
