The East Austin Studio Tour (EAST) is one of our favorite Austin events of the year. It focuses on art, which we love, but also includes, via traveling around, architecture, design, food, and street art. The free event is generally in November over two weekends and features too many studios to tour in the amount of time. We generally randomly visit spaces and let surprise be our guide. Every year is different and wonderful. The EAST folks also host a West Austin Studio Tour over two weekends in May, and it is worth a visit, but EAST is where the energy is.
