If you’re up in northeast Texas heading one way or the other on Interstate-20 and feel your tummy growling in the Tyler vicinity, you should really consider stopping in at the Brisket Love about mile off the hot pavement near Lindale. The place is enormous with plenty of seating and special event space (it was Lady’s Night in the hall). While waiting in line, you can watch the pit cams from flatscreens hung from the ceiling. The sausage selection was inspired, so I went with that (I now forget what was in ’em)… as well as with their namesake. The brisket was moist and tasty and the sausage was savory. The bacon mac-n-cheese, made with conchiglie rather than macaroni (so it was technically conch-n-cheese) delivered as desired as did the fresh cream corn. They have daily specials (including something magical called Dr Pepper burnt ends!) as well as salads for that fifth wheel in your truck. I wished I had taken more photos of the food and menu, but I was so dang hungry adn teh food was so dang good, the chow was gone before I thought of it.Would definitely drop back in.
